Dale Schott is a Canadian animator, writer and storyboard artist. He was the director of the first 2 seasons of Rupert and was involved with the series as writer and story editor untill season 4. He didn't return for the fifth season.

Schott studied classical animation at the Sheridan College in Oakville, Canada.
When he came out of college he started as an animator for John Leech - drawing directly onto cel with a rapidograph pen!

Schott worked as director, story editor and writer for the Canadian animation company Nelvana from 1983 untill 2008 where he worked as writer for series as; Rupert, Jacob Two Two; MoVille Mysteries; My Dad The Rock Star; Dumb Bunnies; Babar; Blazing Dragons; Tabaluga; Dog City; Blaster's Universe and as director for series as: Rupert, Babar; 'Ewoks' and the movie Care Bears Movie II.
In 2008 he began working for Studio B Productions for two years when he also stopped there.
Since 1988 he is also a freelancer for story editing and story writing and continues doing this till this day.
He lives in Toronto, Canada.
